Five stars are not enough for Skylar Fancy and the team at Fancy Remodeling. We hired them to replace the entire roof on our single-family home in Thousand Oaks after our old concrete tiles became brittle and small leaks began appearing. This was a major project: removing the roof down to the plywood, installing a new slate-style concrete tile roof, and carefully removing and reinstalling all of our solar panels. They also transformed an unattractive stucco section using realistic wood-look aluminum that beautifully complements our garage door—many people assume it is real wood.

I found Skylar through a Nextdoor recommendation and obtained five estimates. Fancy Remodeling’s price was in the middle, but Skylar inspired the most confidence and offered one of the strongest warranties. Just as importantly, the final price stayed consistent with the proposal. He never tried to nickel-and-dime us with surprise charges after work began.

Skylar is one of the best communicators I have ever worked with. He answered texts incredibly quickly, patiently addressed every concern, and was consistently kind, reassuring, and professional. He also worked on the roof alongside his crew rather than selling the job and disappearing. Everyone arrived on time, treated our property with care, and cleaned up thoroughly at the end of every day. Skylar also kept the permitting and inspection process moving as promised.

The project felt remarkably smooth from our perspective, with no significant delays or stressful surprises. Most importantly, the finished result is spectacular. We truly feel that we now have the best-looking house on the block. Numerous neighbors have complimented the new roof and exterior finish, and several asked for Skylar’s contact information for their own homes.

After comparing five companies and completing such a substantial project, we are completely confident that we made the right choice. Skylar combines excellent craftsmanship, honest pricing, hands-on involvement, reliability, outstanding communication, and genuine respect for his customers. We recommend Skylar and Fancy Remodeling without hesitation and will call them first for future work on our home.

Fancy Remodeilng replaced an old patio cover with a state-of-the-art structure with fire resistant materials, ,waterproof roofing, and modern skylights and lighting. The crew was meticulous to detail and maintained a clean work area after knocking off work. The cover is aesthetically pleasing and a major improvement to my home. We recently had Fancy Remodeling replace our original patio cover, which had been there since the home was built in the 1980s and had finally deteriorated to the point where replacement was necessary. The difference is incredible.

Skyler and his team did a fantastic job from start to finish. The new patio cover feels solid, clean, and modern, while still fitting the style of the house perfectly. The attention to detail really shows, from the structure and finish to the ceiling, lighting, and trim work. It completely transformed the backyard and feels like a true extension of the home rather than just a covered patio.

We’re extremely happy with how everything turned out and would absolutely recommend Skyler and Fancy Remodeling to anyone considering a patio renovation or similar project. Great workmanship and a beautiful finished product. Skyler went above and beyond with his transparency, honest assessments, and recommendations.

Fancy Remodeling just finished putting new showers and floors in both of my bathrooms. They also replaced all the baseboard molding’s throughout the house.
I am extremely happy with their entire job. Skyler Fancy was there for the whole makeover and his attention to detail and work ethic were evident every step of the way. His entire crew was professional, courteous and industrious. They always showed up on time and always cleaned up the work site at the end of each workday. I highly recommend this company for any remodeling or roofing job.

Skyler is one of the best roofers in the Conejo valley and surrounding areas. His level of professionalism is extremely refreshing. A mixture of the old school work ethic, and modern technology to bring a seamless m, stress free experience. His crew is well trained and very polite, and they also cleaned up after themselves after the job and left the job site spotless when they were done.

Replacing a roof is a major investment, so I got numerous quotes before making my decision. After comparing several companies, I chose Fancy Remodeling, owned by Skyler Fancy, and I'm so glad I did.

Skyler provided a fair, competitive quote with no hidden charges or surprise overages. He also coordinated with my solar company for the removal and reinstallation of my solar panels. Since he was licensed to perform that work himself, I ultimately had him handle the entire process, which made everything much smoother.

His crew was outstanding. They showed up on time every day, worked hard, cleaned up the job site daily, and were always respectful of my family as we came and went throughout the week. Safety was clearly a priority for both the crew and our household.

My roof had a couple of tricky areas, but Skyler and his team took the time to solve those issues correctly, ensuring everything was watertight. It's clear they take pride in doing the job right rather than cutting corners.

Compared to the larger roofing companies that would have subcontracted the work, Fancy Remodeling offered a better price while providing direct oversight from the owner. There's real peace of mind in hiring a neighborhood business with a strong local reputation. In fact, Fancy Remodeling has already replaced the roofs on a few homes on my block, and now I completely understand why.

If you're looking for a roofing company that is honest, professional, fairly priced, and committed to quality workmanship, I highly recommend Fancy Remodeling and Skyler Fancy. They exceeded my expectations, and I couldn't be happier with the finished roof.
